Job Title:                               Capacity Building Officer

Working Area:                      Tharparkar, Tando Allahyar, Matiari and Mirpur Khas Districts

Reporting to:                        Program Coordinator

Project Title:                       Growth for Rural Advancement and                                                          Sustainable Progress (GRASP)

 

Position Requirements

1. Qualification and Experience

  • Masters or equivalent preferably Social Sciences.
  • At least 3 years working experience in rural development include 2 years’ experience in community-based training, preferably in rural area of Sindh.

 

2.         Job Purpose

  • Capacity Building Officer will be responsible to build capacities of community in order to empower them to participate in programme activities particularly those to be undertaken under, the GRASP activities. In addition, He / She will be responsible for ensure by effective and efficient delivery of the training according with the ToRs.

 

3. Knowledge, Skills & Behavior

  • Good understanding about strategy/methodology for Capacity Building of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) and Business Interest Group Organization (BIOs) in Financial Literacy and Business planning.
  • Knowledge of Livestock and Agri-business/ Business Management an added value.
  • Experience working within complex organizational structures
  • Possess excellent interpersonal skills; good resource and time management skills
  • Computer literate, knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Willingness to travel frequently.

 

4. Main Responsibilities

With guidance and support of TRDP Manager/Head of Capacity Building, Capacity Building officer will undertake following responsibilities.

  • Develop the plan for capacity building trainings.
  • Identification and hiring of the resource persons/consultants.
  • Coordinate and report all capacity building trainings.
  • Quality assurance of capacity building training portfolio as per terms of references agreed with Partner.
  • Review training manuals, participant`s hand book and IEC material developed by consultants and get necessary approvals.
  • Organize training on capacity building based on financial literacy and business planning for Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs).
  • Organize training on business enhancement and development of linkages with the market.
  • Organize exposure visit for Small and Medium Enterprise (SMEs), producers/farmers, women entrepreneurs.
  • Provide timely and necessary feedback on going project activities and its implementation to Program Coordinator.
  • Any other task assigned by the Supervisor.
