ACCA qualified/ MBA in Finance

  • Experience:

ACCA affiliate with minimum1 year experience or MBA Finance with minimum 3 years’ experience.

Preference will be given to candidates having articleship experience in top 10 audit firms

  • Responsibilities
  • Assist with budget preparation.
  • Implement financial policies and procedures.
  • Participate in financial audits.
  • Assisting with year-end accounts preparation and any external audits.

 

  • Ensure compliance with internal control system with financial data.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliation.
  • Review and finalize payroll along with liaison with payroll Officer.
  • Maintain the donor database in order to produce accurate financial reports.
  • Maintaining relationships with existing suppliers and sourcing new suppliers, ensuring that the correct procurement policies have been followed
  • Monitor cash reserves, investments and maintain cash controls.
  • Prepare and maintain supplier accounts and ensure that data is entered into the FIS.
  • Payment of utility bills, vender & supplier’s and draw/release cheques.
  • Ensure transactions are properly recorded and entered into the computerized accounting system
  • Prepare monthly financial statements and reports and submit to Partner Organizations/Donors.
  • Coordinate with internal and external auditors and assist them with their activities as required.
  • Maintain and update financial files and records.
  • Maintenance of computerized general ledger, cashbook, and cash flows.
  • Ensures all funding compliance as per rules, requirements/templates and as per agreement sub clauses.
  • Under the direction of the Head of Finance, mentoring and the day to day supervision of the Finance Assistant
  • Any other related task assigned by Head of Finance.
  • Skills and Competencies:
  • Excellent IT skills, with specific competency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Previous experience using accounting software is highly desirable.
  • Self-motivated and dynamic, with excellent organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team environment with technical and non-technical staff.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
