Position: Coordinator Community Physical Infrastructure (CPI)

Location: Jamshoro and Dadu

Academic qualifications: B.E Civil Engineering registered with PEC or degree from HEC recognized University. 

Experience: Minimum 7 years’ experience of working on projects of similar nature. Preference will be given to candidates having both technical and managerial experience. 

 

Main Tasks & Responsibilities:

 

  • S/he will lead team of engineers based at taluka/field and district offices, will support them in identification, designing, implementing and monitoring CPI in both irrigated and arid regions of Jamshoro and Dadu. 

·To review and finalize each infrastructure scheme proposal by following standard engineering design, cost estimates and ensuring the compliance of environmental and social -

·Developing technical guidelines and providing technical support to the engineering section at district and field offices.

  • Conduct trainings and field level workshops for engineering team on WASH, engineering design, quality control and quality assurance.

·Ensure and monitor overall CPI progress by following fortnightly/ monthly plan for execution and completion of schemes.

  • Ensure quality of work by following recommendations from donor/ M&E section.

  • Random supervision and monitoring of construct work at sites.

·To develop manuals for the community for construction, operation and maintenance of each type of CPIs related interventions or implement the schemes as per Project implementation manual PIM and TRDP policy manuals.

·To ensure that all CPI and construction interventions are cost effective, participative and of result oriented and ensure the integration with other program.

·To identify and implement CPI related innovations beneficial for the community.

·To effectively represent TRDP- CPI SUCCESS Programme in (WASH, Education) related networks and forums.

·Preparation of progress reports/ quality/analytical/financial reports on monthly, quarterly and project end reports.

·To ensure the ESM and DRR protocols at planning and implementation stage and verified after completion stage.

  • Position requires frequent field visits to rural areas of Jamshoro and Dadu, minimum 70% field in month.

  • Must be willing to relocate anytime in TRDP programme area.

  • To develop manuals and guidelines to ensure the safety measures during the construction and also orient the Engineers about safety measures in CPI projects.

·To coordinate and liaise with government line departments.

·Any other tasks and perform other related duties as requested by the Line Manager/Senior Management and donors.
