Building Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change (BRDCC)

 

Job Title:                              Field Engineer

Working station:                    TRDP Office, Dadu.

Reporting to:                          Project Coordinator

 

Position Requirements

  1. Major Responsibilities
    1. Candidate will facilitate to community for prioritize needs of DRR construction projects in Village Disaster Management Plan at field level.
    2. The incumbent will be required to supervise and technically facilitate the Inclusive Disaster Reduction Structural Measures being implemented in the villages and ensuring technical guidelines, BOQs, Drawings/Designs and Contractual Obligations are strictly complied with and implementation is timely and transparent.
    3. Candidate will do Social appraisal for project recommended in prefeasibility stage.
    4. Candidate will responsible for preparation of detailed proposals including BOQ, drawings of DRR projects and finalization of schemes agreements with VOs/ line agencies
    5. Candidate will execute and monitoring of DRR project completely at field level regularly.
    6. He should be skilled at managing technical work of DRR projects at field level individually. Even with little supervision.
    7. Candidate will maintain record of DRR project at Field Unit level.  Like keep record of disbursement of schemes installments and maintain complete file of CPI schemes.
    8. Candidate will responsible to prepare monthly work plan /weekly reports of schemes and submit to Project Coordinator regularly.
    9. Filed Engineer do any other task assign by Project Coordinator time to time as per project need.
    10. Any assignment given by authority.

 

Knowledge, skills & behavior​

  1. Good written and verbal communication.
  2. Good resource and time management skills. 
  3. Sound knowledge and expertise on AutoCAD, MS Word, Excel, Power point, MIS, required.
  4. Maintain good communication with beneficiaries and other stakeholders on the field
  5. Willingness to travel frequently.

 

Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)

  1. Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering  
  2. Minimum 02-year work experience with NGOs/INGOs especially in DRR related construction work
  3. PEC Registration is obligatory.

 

Preference will be given to candidates belongs to District Dadu
