4.   Qualification:

Masters or equivalent preferably in social sciences or agriculture or rural development from recognize university.

 

Preference will be given to woman candidate.

5. Skills

The candidate is required to have: i) excellent writing and presentation skills particularly in English, ii) excellent negotiation and communication skills and iii) capacity to review, edit and summarize complex documents /manuals and material managing challenging timelines.

 

6.  Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years` experience in development field with at least three years working experience on senior responsible position in Development Sector.
  • Experience of designing, managing and implementing programme/projects related to Nutrition, Agriculture, WASH and DRR.
  • Experience in conducting and leading multi sectoral team.

Ability to manage staff, frequently travels in field and to work in a team environment.

7. Key Responsibilities

Team Management at District Level

  • Responsible for management of field teams and project at District level
  • Lead the process of monthly work planning and ensure the field teams have provided with all required resources (financial, technical and human resources) to achieve the monthly targets
  • Ensure that field teams have a clear understanding of both quantitative targets (outputs) and programme outcomes (impact).
  • Responsible for team building and address conflicts of field teams (if arises) as per organizational policy
  • Conduct regular supportive supervision visit to field frequently, identify gaps in implementation and provide guidance to field teams to improve quality in implementation
  • Provide overall guidance to WASH and Agriculture officer for planning and implementation of training activities and provide them support to seek technical assistance from the PINS PMU and concerned line departments of Government
  • Lead field teams to work on supply system for sanitation component and coordination with public and private organizations or companies for supply of improved varieties of seeds, livestock, poultry and fish seed to communities
  • Provide support to field team for implementation and management of pilot interventions on water, agriculture and fisheries related interventions

Programme Deliverables

  • Ensure that the timely completion of Programme Targets and KPIs
  • Conduct monthly planning and review meetings with field teams and provide strategic direction to achieve the project targets
  • Ensure proper documentation at all level and storage of all programme data.
  • Ensure regular updates of the Programme MIS which provides real time programme information on progress against KPIs and wider impact.
  • Consolidate community needs/issues related to nutrition, WASH and AFS and share key facts with District Manger Manager to be presented in meetings of Joint Development Committee (JDCs) meetings organized under SUCCESS programme
  • Ensure proper documentation at all level and storage of all programme data.
  • Submit quality monthly progress as per given timeline to RSP project Manager PINS for onward submission to the Donor

Coordination / Liaison with Key Programme Stakeholders

  • Maintain close liaison with District manager SUCCESS team to ensure the synergies between SUCCESS and PINS and to avoid duplication in strategic interventions;
  • Ensure close coordination with Technical Assistance Partner of PINS (ER-1) and ACF (responsible to implement ER-2 Nutrition specific Interventions), Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and provide them support for their community level interaction with LSOs
  • Ensure close coordination with concerned AAP’s departments (Agriculture, Livestock, Fisheries, Local Government and Public Health and Engineering Departments) at district level to seek their regular support for programme implementation and foster their linkages with LSOs to provide them community support for implementation of their community level activities
  • Representation in District Nutrition Coordination Committee (DNCC) and share project progress and seek support of members for effective implementation of the project
  • Take lead to make arrangements for visits of officials from donor, government and Partner
  • Develop/promote networking with active participation in the national networks of civil society organizations.
  • Any other relevant tasks assigned by management.
