Terms of References for Position of WASH & FSL Officer/ Engineer

 

1. Job Title:                        WASH & FSL Officer/ Engineer

2. Working Station:         Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Tando Allahyar

3. Reporting Line:            Programme Coordinator

4. Qualification:               B.Sc. civil engineering or other relevant disciplines from a reputable university.

5. Duration:                       5 Months (Short Term Project) Immediate joining is required.

Experience: Minimum 3 years of relevant experience. Experience in WASH related projects will be preferred.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Knowledge and understanding of climate resilient construction technology
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. Familiar with Sindhi.
  • Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Self-motivated, team player and action oriented

 

Salary Package:      PKR 50,000 per month inclusive all

Job Description:

 

The Field Engineer will be responsible for overall strategic and technical support for construction/rehabilitation in the Project area. Main duties and responsibilities include:

  1. Analyze, review, and investigate current public health facilities and systems
  2. Develop plans for improving facilities and health systems
  3. Communicate and consult effectively with government agencies concerning environmental health projects and engineering issues.
  4. Prepare BoQ of Hand Washing Facilities & toilets according UNICEF Standards.
  5. Take lead for management of innovations related to WASH interventions proposed under project.
  6. Work in close collaboration with Project officer for designing and implementation of WASH related interventions.
  7. Undertake field visits to target location for supportive supervision of implementation of water and sanitation related activities as per approved design and protocols.

Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/ Management.
