Terms of References for Position of Community Health Supervisor

 

1. Job Title:                    Community Health Supervisor (Women)

2. Working Station:         Dadu / Jamshoro             

3. Reporting Line:            District Project Officer

4. Qualification:               Master/ bachelor’s degree in social sciences or equivalent qualification from                                                         recognized university

Experience:                       At least two years’ experience which must include one year in nutrition specific projects. Preference will be given to women candidates having Dadu, Jamshoro domicile.

 

Salary Package:                PKR 33,800 per month inclusive all

 

Job Description:

  • Provide support to project team for mapping of LHWs covered and un-covered areas
  • Conduct dialogues with VOs and LSOs for selection of CHWs from non LHWs covered areas. Ensure that CHWs are selected as per approved criteria
  • Organize training of CHWs by using the training curriculum and material provided by RSPN
  • On job coaching and supportive supervision of the CHWs to ensure that they perform their tasks as per their terms of references
  • Work with VOs and COs for organizing the cooking demonstration at village level
  • Engage community institutions (COs/VOs/LSOs) for implementation of Deworming campaigns, provide MNP and IFA supplementation to CHWs and ensure these supplementations are given to children and women as per criteria
  • Provide support to CHWs in organizing mother to mother groups meetings and work with VOs to organize father to father support group meetings
  • Regularly attend routine meetings of VOs and seek their support to address the issues being faced by CHWs in performing their responsibilities. With support from VOs, ensure that all referred SAM cases reach OTP for treatment.
  • Attend monthly meetings of CHWs at OTPs, share feedback about their performance and provide guidance to them for preparation monthly report of CHWs
  • Maintain record of all activities implemented by CHWs and provide data to District Project Officer for preparation of monthly reports for onward submission to donor. 
  • Perform any other official task assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
