Terms of References for Position of Community Mobilization Officer

 

Location:              Dadu / Jamshoro

Qualification:      Master Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from recognized university

Experience:         At least two years’ experience which must include one year in nutrition specific projects.

Reporting Line:  District Project Officer

Job Description:

  • Take lead for mapping of the LHWs covered and non covered areas and coordinate with LHWs program for this activity
  • Provide guidance to community health supervisors to conduct dialogues with VOs and LSOs for selection of the Community Health Workers
  • Community Mobilization Officer will be responsible for planning and implementation of training related activities like Training of Community Health Supervisors and Community Health Workers and organizer their refresher sessions as per need.
  • Responsible for overall planning and implementation of Social and Behavior change communication activities like mother to mother and father to father support group meetings, cooking demonstration and interactive theaters
  •  Coordination with Lady Health Workers (LHW) programme for training of Lady Health Workers and Lady Health Supervisors (LHS)
  • Mobilizing and outreaching communities and extending services to MAM cases at community level through provision of supplementation and sending referrals to OTPs.
  • Coordination with SUCCES team to organize the community mobilization events in target villages
  • Participate in routine meetings of Local Support Organizations (LSOs), discuss overall progress of project in Union Councils and seek support of LSOs to ensure that all MAM cases referred by CHWs go to OTPs for enrolment and treatment.
  • Maintain proper record of all types of community mobilization activities undertaken in districts and provide data to District Project Officer for onward reporting to donor.
  • Perform any other official task assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
