Terms of References for Position of District Project Officer

 

Location:              Dadu, Jamshoro

 

Qualification:      Master Degree in Social Sciences or equivalent qualification from recognized university

 

Experience:        At least three years’ experience which must include one year in nutrition specific projects.

Reporting Line:  Focal Person for the Project

Job Description:

  • Lead the process over all planning ensuring all agreed activities and targets have been included in the plan and ensure that field teams have required resources for the implementation of the project
  • Provide strategic direction to project team for effective implementation of the project activities and ensure that all agreed targets have been achieved within given time period and with agreed financial resources
  • Ensure that all CHWs are selected as per approved criteria and they are trained by using the training curriculum provided by RSPN
  • Ensure the community outreach program is implemented as per design and produce the desired results
  • Maintain close coordination with PPHI teams to ensure that clients that are referred to OTP centers receive services. Also maintain close coordination with partners that will manage the stabilization center.
  • Undertake field visits and provide on job guidance and support to field teams for quality implementation outreach, community based and facility-based nutrition services
  • Ensure quality of the program and compliance with the standards agreed with the stakeholders.
  • Ensure that available programmatic and financial resources are utilized only for the project and ensure compliance to donor requirements
  • Maintain close coordination with SUCCESS, PINS Nutrition Sensitive component and Government of Sindh Accelerated Action Plan for reduction of stunting and malnutrition (AAP) teams and other nutrition project
  • Participate in monthly District Nutrition Coordination Committee Meetings and share project progress
  • Share monthly and quality project progress reports for onward submission to RSPN
  • Perform any other official task assigned by the Supervisor/Management.
