Job Title: Social Organizer

Reporting Line: District Manager – District Jamshoro

Duty Station:  SO will be based in concerned district with frequent travel to all project UCs in the project

Qualification and Experience: BA /BSc or qualification equivalent and have two years or above experience in Mobilization. She/he must have experience of mobilization especially in health projects, social marketing and service delivery in health sector. Candidate having prior experience of work with TRDP under health projects or core programme will be given preference.

Required Knowledge and Skills: Knowledge and understanding of health issues in Pakistan particularly related to Reproductive Health & Birth Spacing/Family Planning. She/he must understand of the participatory monitoring and learning. She/he have deep understanding of various birth spacing/family planning methods, their benefits, and associated side effects, command on data collection, validation of data and services, Calculation of Couple Years of Protection based on marketing and utilization, analytical skills, good communication and coordination skills. She/he must have basic understanding of risk assessment.

Report to District Manager (DM) and based in the concerned district. The role and responsibilities of Social Organizer will be as under:

  • Identify LHW covered and non covered locations of the UCs assigned to the concerned Social Mobilization Team(SMT) for project interventions (The SMT includes both the female and the Male SOs)
  • Conduct the introductory dialogues at non LHW locations for the introduction of RHSM Project, its objectives and for the formation of VHC & identification of the CRP as per given criteria;
  • Provide orientation to the CRPs on their assigned roles and responsibilities and guide them for preparation of list of married couples of reproductive age from assigned population in pre approved formats;
  • Make all logistic arrangements for training of CRPs and act as principal trainer
  • Monitor minimum of 10% of the group meetings conducted by the CRPs and ensure that the meeting objectives are met;
  • Support CRPs in making their coverage plans through group meetings with the listed target couples;
  • Validate minimum of 10% of the group meetings conducted by the CRPs. Take corrective actions as appropriate in case of falsification in consultation with the supervisor. as Develop the work plan of Female CRPs for the door to door follow up and mobilization of the MWRA for practicing the birth spacing;
  • Monitor to ensure that the female CRPs follow their work plan of door to door visits and address any key issues or problems identified with regard to contraceptive use, -supply of contraceptives or any other pertinent matter.
  • Identify and ensure proper set up of the venue for the satellite camp where the LHV/doctor will see the clients /camp will be held.
  •  In coordination with the CRPs and the DM, develop the schedule of the LHV visits or for the mobile camp within the assigned area.
  • Facilitate the cordial working relationship between LHV and CRPs to ensure effective and client friendly service delivery
  • Track the performance of the field teams (CRPs) in terms of new user created, contraceptives sold out and prepare the weekly and monthly report on achievement of CYPs.
  • To collect and keep record of gender disaggregated data from the field and to report time to time gender achievements and issues in field visit reports
