Qualification: Minimum B.com, B.A (Graduation) preference will be given to MBA/M.com/Masters in Economics/M.Sc. Acc & Finance or any other equivalent degree in Banking and finance from an HEC recognized Institution candidate from with commerce back ground, will be preferred for CIF Assistant,

Minimum Experince:02 Years of experience in Community Investment fund (CIF), Interest Free loan/Microcredit at any MFI, conventional banking/Islamic Banking

Job brief

We are looking for a PO CIF & CIF Assistants to evaluate, authorize to Assist LSO regarding approval or deny loan applications for Community or for business. CIF Assistant will act as liaison between customers and our financial institution and he/she will help qualified applicants acquire loans in a timely manner.

 

KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES/DUTIES (DAILY DUTIES)

· Authenticate documentation presented for all credit applications and ensure they meet the PIM requirements and any other requirements as required by the PIU and by the Donor.

· Ensure compliance with the Corporation’s Credit Policy, Procedures and service level agreements.

 · Facilitate to Community Book Keeper for Appraisal of customer loan applications and make recommendations.

 · Active participation in Credit Committee.

 · Verify that securities/Guarantees   are provided and forwarded for perfection.

· Manage portfolio under LSO to ensure good performance

 · Ensure all applicants are advised on fate of applications within reasonable time.

· Proactively manage risk /exposure for assigned portfolio Continuously

 · Assist in the restructuring of debts in the interest of the Corporation and customer.

 · Assist in the grading and classification of loan accounts.

· Manage Customer and stakeholder relations in accordance with agreed Service Level Agreements.

 · Any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.

 

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· A university Masters Degree  for PO CIF.  Bachelor degree in a business related field/Public Administration degree required for CIF Assistant,

· Report writing skills, Excellent skills in analysis of Financials, communication, interpersonal, organizational and negotiation skills, IT skills(MSOffice) PERSONAL TRAITS

 · Self-starter, Willingness to go an extra mile, Deliver on deadlines, Ability to align to the Corporation’s culture, Team player

 

Responsibilities:

  • conducts dialogues with CIs (COs/VOs/LSOs) about the CIF Grant
  • To ensure CIF beneficiaries are selected according to the eligibility criteria
  • Evaluate credit worthiness by processing loan applications and documentation within specified limits
  • Interview applicants to determine financial eligibility and feasibility of granting loans
  • Determine all applicable rations and metrics and set up debt payment plans
  • Communicate with clients either to request or to provide information
  • Justify decisions (approvals/rejections) and report on them
  • Complete loan contracts and counsel clients on policies and restrictions
  • Update job knowledge on types of loans and other financial services
  • Maintain and update account records at LSO/VO/CO Level
  • Assess customer needs, explore all options and introduce different types of loans
  • Go the “extra mile” to build trust relationships, customer loyalty and satisfaction throughout the under writing Process.
  • Operate in compliance with laws and regulations and adhere to lending compliance guidelines
  • Facilitate in selection and Process of  loan applications to Community Book Keeper (CBK)  by examining application and supporting documentation; estimating credit-worthiness; calculating repayment risk.
  • To ensure  CIF books of record provided to the CIs
  •  Sub-grant amount transferred to CI according to the agreed payment schedule in the sub-grant agreement signed with the CI.
  • Verification of At least 100% of the proposed CIF beneficiaries’
  • To ensure Receiving of approved CIF amount   given to approved beneficiaries
  •  Maintains separate records for the CIF interventions, including funds disbursed to each CI and maintains records in MIS PO CIF/DPO/PM/M&E staff
  •  Facilitate CIF Record Register maintained by the Manager/Secretary/CBK. 
  • To ensure Each CIF beneficiary pay an agreed processing fee to the CI before receiving the order cheque. 
  • CIF Assistant is undertaking field verification to monitor utilization of CIF funds
  • To ensure that The beneficiary repays CIF instalment as per given schedule
  • Responsibilities PO
  • To ensure transparent transfer of funds to community Institutions and its recorded keeping
  • Completes loans by monitoring collection, verification, and preparation of loan documentation; scheduling and completing loan closing.
  • Meets loan operational standards by contributing loan information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing production, productivity, quality, and Beneficiaries /customer-service standards; resolving problems; identifying loan system improvements.
  • Meets loan financial standards by providing; implementing corrective actions.
  • Attracts new loan applications by developing relationships within the community, specifically with the r CO /VO community Level.
  • To ensure that The beneficiary repays CIF instalment as per given schedule

 

Requirements:

  • Proven working experience as a Senior loan officer
  • Familiarity with computers and Data Entries applications/software.
  • Solid understanding of direct/indirect lending products and practices
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Customer satisfaction orientation and sales competencies
  • Ability to work in a goal oriented environment
  • Master degree in finance, economics or a related field
