       Job Title:                   Short-term assignment as Case Worker

Working Station:      District Shaheed Benazirabad

Reporting to:             Project Coordinator

Project title:              Child Protection Flood Emergency Response Sindh

 

Position Requirements:

  1. Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)
  2. Masters or equivalent (minimum 14 years’ education) Degree from the HEC recognized National University.
  3. At least 03 years of experience in a related position with reputed National, and international organizations,

 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Case worker is responsible for implementation of Child Protection activities at the district level ensuring appropriate coordination with all collaborators. Ensure that all interventions are in line with the Child Protection Minimum Standards.
  • Works with each Safe Spaces, Community to organize training for their members on MHPSS
  • Ensure provision of hygiene kits to adolescent girls,
  • To identify the social services available to children, for example, mental health and psychosocial support (MHPSS) services; child protection case management services; health and nutrition services etc
  • Perform Gender Equality and Social Inclusion analysis for identification of risks, vulnerabilities, and capacities facing girls in Spaces/TLCs/ schools.
  • Conduct Sensitization and Mobilization sessions with Communities in field locations, schools, and Child-Friendly Spaces regularly, ensuring that activities are implemented in an agreed manner.
  • Establish and lead all areas of the referral mechanism (Identification, registration, referral, and case closure) for effective support to the survivors/children at risk
  • Guide partners in working with children to develop new, creative activities as appropriate.
  • Ensures that safeguarding standards are acknowledged and met and ensures a safe and child-friendly atmosphere in schools and CFSs centers.
  • Establish/Strengthen community-based child protection mechanisms in coordination with Child Protection Education Committees/PTCs.
  • Collaborate with SWD for the deployment and capacity building of caseworkers and strengthening of CP case management system by case management SOPs
  • Build positive relationships with relevant departments, other government actors as appropriate, and other collaborators.
  • Lead awareness-raising campaigns for sensitization of communities and collaborators on child protection issues and concerns.
  • Support field team including field staff in conducting parents’ and community meetings.
  • Document success stories and lessons.
  • Ensures that health and safety regulations are understood and followed, and that health and safety incidents are logged
  • Perform any other project-related tasks assigned by the supervisor.
  • Responsible for data collection & keep all required data of Spaces and children
  • Responsible for daily basis, weekly & monthly report to project coordinator
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/ Management.
