       Job Title:                      Counselor/Psychologist 

Working Station:        District Shaheed Benazirabad

Reporting to:              Project Coordinator

Services required       Child Protection Flood Emergency Response Sindh.

 

Position Requirements:

  1. Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)
  2. Masters or equivalent degree in Psychology or other relevant disciplines from HEC recognized university.
  3. Minimum of 02 years of relevant professional experience in a similar position, preferably within the NGOs.

 

  1. Main Responsibilities
    • He/she will conduct field visits outreach teams to play counselling role at community level.
    • He/ She will visit women and child-Friendly Space WFS/CFS.
    • He/She will conduct psychosocial sessions in women and child-Friendly Space WFS/CFS during outreach.
    • Assist with the integration of psychosocial services into Primary Health Care.
    • Lead on the identification and mapping of community services in the area, and ensure an up-to-date.
    • Conduct psychosocial -related activities as requested.
    • Provide Case Management and psychosocial support to individuals, families and communities.
    • Provide outreach services, and home visits, where required and feasible.
    • Liaise with general practitioners, psychiatrists, psychologists and other healthcare professionals to support clients in need of psychosocial through the referral, diagnosis and treatment process.
    • Participate in capacity building trainings.
    • Provide trainings on referrals to psychosocial services child-Friendly Space WFS/CFS.
    • Provide awareness sessions on services available and facilitate referrals.
    • Prepare, and deliver trainings for the purposes of capacity building on psychosocial support, including PFA and case management trainings, where appropriate.
    • To ensure the organization visibility.
    • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/ Management.
