Job Description

                     Job Title:       MEAL Officer

Working Station:       District Badin & Dadu

Reporting to:              Project Manager

Services required       for assignment/project “Flood Response in Sindh 2022”, or any other assignment, as and when given by TRDP.

 

Position Requirements:

  1. Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)
  2. Masters or equivalent degree in Social Sciences, Rural Development, or other relevant disciplines from HEC recognized university.
  3. At least 03 years of experience in Emergency and Relief Projects, particularly in the MEAL section.

 

  1. Main Responsibilities

The MEAL Officer will have the following duties and responsibilities:

  • MEAL Officer will be responsible for ensuring monitoring of project activities and reporting.
  • Develop/Update the project MEAL plan and collect data through partner periodically.
  • Develop and strengthen monitoring, inspection, and evaluation procedures.
  • Monitor all project activities, expenditures, and progress toward achieving the project output.
  • Conduct systematic monitoring of project activities to capture quantitative and qualitative data against indicators.
  • Conduct post-distribution monitoring for feedback and results showcasing
  • Recommend further improvement of the logical framework.
  • Develop monitoring and impact indicators for the project’s success.
  • Monitor and evaluate overall progress on achievement of results.
  • Provide feedback to the Project Coordinator on project strategies and activities.
  • Report monthly progress on all project activities to the Project Manager;
  • Preparation of monthly MIS reports.
  • Photo gallery of project activities.
  • Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/ Management.

    • Experience in designing tools and strategies for data collection, analysis, and production of reports.
    • Report Writing Skills.
    • Expertise in analyzing data using statistical software
    • Proven Microsoft skills, especially in the development of MIS software using database software;
    • Good written and verbal communication.
    • Good resource and time management skills.
    • Willingness to travel frequently.
    • Understanding of Core Humanitarian Standards.
    • Understanding of Humanitarian Charters.
    • Understanding of Sphere Standards.
