                     Job Title:        Livelihood and Shelter Officer

Working Station:        Mirpur Khas

Reporting to:              Project Coordinator

Project title:               Integrated multi-sectoral humanitarian assistance to flood-affected communities in Pakistan.

 

Position Requirements:

 

  1. Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)

 

  1. Graduate from HEC recognized University.
  2. 02 years of experience in a related field with managing the distribution of relief items (Shelter items, hygiene kits, food baskets.

 

  1. Main Responsibilities
    • Implementing Livelihood activities under the programme/project area.
    • Identification and registration of beneficiary households for livelihood program.
    • Regular monitoring of the livelihood activities at implementation and operation level with households
    • Need identification through households’ survey.
    • Ensuring timely implementation of livelihood activities.
    • Assist in coordinating and conducting the assessment, monitoring, and evaluation of project activities related to livelihoods.
    • Carry out different types of need assessments and surveys as and when required for the project implementation.
    • Carry out different analysis of value chains, comparative economic analyses of different crops, and compiling of reports.
    • Carry out different types of need assessments and surveys as and when required for the project implementation.
    • Preparing a project work plan, procurement plan, vehicle movement plan and share it to the relevant sectors.
    • Conduct regular field visits to IDPs sites in the project areas.
    • Analyze project progress and determine expected delinquency
    • Ensure that projects target beneficiaries most in need and explore and asses’ new and better ways to assist.
    • Oversee the activities related to NFIs distribution making sure that are in line with the donor criteria.
    • Archive all data and documents related to the project, according to the system followed in the organization.
  2. Knowledge, Skills, and Behaviour
    • Having knowledge of the local/project targeted areas.
    • Knowledge in computer (MS word, excel and power point) is a must
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills in English, Urdu and Pashtu
    • Having training conducting skills.
    • Having community organizing and mobilization skills.
    • Report writing skills, Proficiency in English (Writing and Speaking).
    • Knowledge Shelter/NFIs and CCCM Projects.
