Job Title:                     Field Engineer

Working Station:        District Jamshoro/Dadu

Reporting line:           Project Manager

 

Position Requirements

 

1_Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)

 

1.         B.Sc. or B.E or Diploma in civil engineering.
2. Minimum 2‐3 years of relevant experience. Experience in WASH related projects will be preferred.   

 

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

The Field Engineer will be responsible for overall strategic and technical support for construction of climate resilient water and sanitation infrastructure in the district. Main duties and responsibilities include:

 

1. Provide technical support to target communities in implementation of water and sanitation related interventions.
2. Work closely with Public Health and Engineering Department (PHED) for capacity building of community members of water quality testing and quality monitoring;
3. Provide technical support to the communities to ensure that all infrastructure that is constructed under project is as per government rules and is climate resilient.
4. Provide strategic direction to RSPs field teams for introduction of low cost latrine construction technology and low cost water treatment solutions.
5. Take lead for management of innovations related to water interventions proposed under project.
6. Work in close collaboration with WASH officer for designing and implementation of water related interventions for arsenic concentrated areas.
7. Undertake field visits to target villages for supportive supervision of implementation of water and sanitation related activities as per approved design and protocols.
8. Any other tasks assigned by the Supervisor/ Management.

 

3. Knowledge, skills & behavior

1.         Knowledge and understanding of climate resilient construction technology.
2.         Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
3.         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. Familiar with Sindhi
4.         Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
5.         Self‐motivated, team player and action oriented
