Building Resilience to Disasters and Climate Change (BRDCC)

 

Job Title:                     Field Engineer

Working Station:        TRDP Office, Dadu

Reporting line:           Project Coordinator

 

Position Requirements

 

1. Mandatory (Qualification and Experience)​

  1.         Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering.  
  2. Minimum 03-year work experience with NGOs/INGOs/private company, especially in DRR, Retaining Walls, Earthen Embankment related construction work.
  3.         PEC Registration is obligatory.
  4.         Preference will be given to candidates belongs to District Dadu.   

 

2. Main Duties and Responsibilities

  1. To identify sites for flood protection, water conservation & school retrofitting.
  2. To conduct detail pre-feasibility of sites to propose the sustainable structure with technical survey.
  3. To prepare the drawings & BOQ’s
  4. Able to execute the work as per drawing & specification.
  5. Ensure that projects are completed on schedule, according to contractual conditions, within budget, and with adherence to high standard quality construction.
  6. To monitor the progress of project on daily basis and update the quantitative progress.
  7. Physical verification by visiting the spot (Scheme Sites).
  8. To prepare the daily report of the sites visited (Note for Record), and submit to the reporting officers.
  9. Compile the quantitative report on monthly basis and submit to reporting manager(s).
  10. Filed Engineer do any other task assign by Project Coordinator time to time as per project need.

    1.         Knowledge and understanding of climate resilient construction technology.
    2.         Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
    3.         Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Urdu. Familiar with Sindhi
    4.         Solid working knowledge of Microsoft Office
    5.         Self‐motivated, team player and action oriented
